2-Day Course

Technical Writing for Reports, Business Proposals & Written Presentations

Time: 9.00am to 5.00pm / Venue: Hotel/s in PJ

Course Leader:  ~ Ms Bebe Chooi

Objective:

Technical writing is not only for technical people and scientists. Most business and professional people have a responsibility to write reports and/or proposals, or policy papers.

For example, the sales or marketing person has to inform management about what is going on in the marketplace. The computer programmer has to write a report/manual on how to use certain software.  The foreman has to inform his staff on a new procedure.  Even the CEO has to report to the Board of Directors at monthly meetings, and to his shareholders at the Annual General Meeting or other meetings.

In this two-day workshop, participants will have the opportunity to design a Title Page, to come up with a Format, and to write a short report, paper or proposal in the context of their job requirement. The Trainer will be on hand to guide and to critique.  The Trainer will also correct grammatical errors and answer all questions pertaining to language. But, grammar and general writing skills are the focus of a separate two-day workshop.

This is basically a “Nuts & Bolts” workshop, since two days is still too short to wax lyrical over writing styles and the like.
