2-Day Course

Sharpening Skills For Writing Memos & Minutes of Meetings

Time : 9.00 am ~ 5.00pm / Venue : Hotel/s in PJ

Course Leader ~ Ms Bebe Chooi

A Note on the Workshop :

This is a two-day practical workshop, with the specific objective of training participants to write decent/acceptable/professional minutes of meetings. Since the workshop is designed to meet the needs of each and every participant, without exception, the workshop begins with a brief survey (and assessment, if necessary)  to determine what these needs are.

By and large, however, the majority of participants would need training in writing minutes of staff meetings, board meetings, committee meetings, brainstorming sessions, and “project status” meetings. There will also be some attempt to focus on more formal meetings such as the Annual General Meeting of shareholders of a company.

Since meetings must have an Agenda or purpose/objective, which is normally incorporated or expressed in a Memo, and since previous experience with participants has revealed a need for training in the writing of Memos,  Minutes will be preceded by Memos.

Who Should Attend

All staff who are required to write internal memos as part of their daily routine and who need to understand the value of this mode of communication

or staff who are responsible for preparing minutes as part of their job. Concise, well-drafted minutes can be a valuable tool to help management avoid ‘strategic drift’ and make clear decisions to meet business objectives.
