Card systems are nowdays the more reliable and convenient mean to manage or sell photocopies or copies printed in a Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP environment.

For corporates :

Two methods of management are mostly used to track photocopy costs with card systems

  • We speak of "an Account" management when the person, in charge of the photocopy management, collects the number of copies made by each of the users at the end of a period of time (week, month or other). The Cartadis TC4N allows to use this method due to its memory which stores up to 10000 accounts and its several ways of data collecting. The Copicode, with its 1000 accounts, also enables such a management.
  • The second method of management is to allocate a copy budget to each user. This budget is first programmed on the magnetic or chip card by the manager. The card is then debited during copy printing by the user. The Cartadis TC4N, TC11N and TCP2 work with debit cards which are suited to this way of management.

The prints printed by network printers are also manageable with debit cards or with software accounts by the means of the Gespage server.

For copy shops :

The sale of copies on prepaid cards increases the flow and customer loyalty. Prepaid cards are debit cards, they can be reloadable (made of thick plastic) or disposable (made of hard paper). The Cartadis TC11N is the most suited for this application.

For educationnal areas :

The needs are often double : an account management for the teaching staff and sales of prepaid cards to the students. The Cartadis TC4N is the only unit to cover these two requests.
In public libraries, when no staff printed copies have to be accounted the TC11N is advisable for the photocopiers and the TCRS with its companion Gespage print server is recommanded. For printing management or Internet access management with a single station Cartadis TCPrint and Cartadis TCInternet are recommended.
