Department Head : Evelyn Mok 

Evelyn Mok is an exceptional piano teacher, experienced and well seasoned by her involvement in the music industry for 15 years. Her talent was instantly recognizable at a young age when she first served in church by playing piano. She progressed on with her gift in music and eventually achieved a formal qualification in music, graduating from the University of London with a Degree in Music . Whilst studying, she had also contributed significantly as a member of her university’s highly regarded choir group. 

Her career in music includes having worked in a piano company for two years as a piano teacher and sales assistant. Thereafter, she started to actively participate in children education, dedicating her abilities and full patience for more than seven years in nurturing children’s musical aptitude, Her determination resulted in a refined ability to relate and interact with children, a key trait present in every first-rate tutor. This important attribute, if not innate, can only be acquired through many years of experience with children. 

Apart from her conventional participation in the music industry, Evelyn had also taught “computer music”, a program which employs the use of modern technology to teach children music, for two years in a company called Midi Nod. Her short but highly focused engagement in “computer music” had further advanced her knowledge and skills in tandem with the increasing role technology plays in today’s music environment.
