ESSEL Group was founded by Mr Ooi Eng Hin.  Currently, the Group consistof  four companies, namely Esseline Worldwide Distribution Sdn Bhd, Essel Marketing, Essel Distribution and Essel Globaltech Solutions.   

Mr Ooi has established the pioneer company, Essel Marketing, in April 1996. The main objectives of this Company was to supply office stationery and office equipments.  

The second Company set up was Essel Distribution.  It was established in year 1997 as a wholesale Company in the same business portfolio as Essel Marketing. Through this Company, ESSEL Group managed to improve and expand its business coverage and also in providing excellent quality services to its customers. 

With the imminent of globalisation and the growing reliance on Information Technology, Mr Ooi has incorporated Essel Globaltech Solutions in year 2000.  This Company focused on providing services in multimedia / IT, office automations and telecommunications. 

Esseline Worldwide Distribution Sdn Bhd was incorporated in year 2004, with the main object to undertake and expand business portfolio of Essel  Marketing. The company focused to increase its product range, produce high quality products and to continue with its research and development, particularly in terms of quality improvements on the Group's house brand products, ESSEL.  The first house brand product range was Lever arch file 2'' & 3".  

The production of this product range was a success in its niche market and the Company has recorded a favourable order and popular demand.The Company was able to stamp its excellent quality on the files by providing a Life Time Warranty. 

This Company has strategised itself to expand its sales and service arms to outstation and overseas markets.  The Group's ultimate Mission Statement was to provide excellent quality productsand services to customers' satisfaction.
